Monash Health Drug and Alcohol Service is a service within the Mental Health Program of Monash Health committed to providing opportunities for change and growth for people affected by problematic alcohol and drug use, improving their physical and mental health, and reconnecting them to their family and the community.

In mid-2014 Monash Health joined The South Eastern Consortium of Alcohol and Drug Agencies (secada) formed to provide alcohol and other drug (AOD) services in the South Eastern metropolitan catchment. The consortium comprises South Eastern Melbourne Medicare Local in collaboration with Odyssey House Victoria, Taskforce Community Agency, Youth Support & Advocacy Service, Windana Drug & Alcohol Recovery and Monash Health Drug and Alcohol Service (SEADS), connected through an MOU and a united commitment to providing opportunities for change and growth in the catchment.

Secada will provide:

  • Intake and Assessment
  • Counselling – standard and complex,
  • Care & Recovery Coordination
  • Non-residential Withdrawal Services
  • Referrals to Residential Withdrawal Services and Rehabilitation Services.

Secada provides a new single point of contact for all clients and referring organisations; by calling 1800 14 25 36, clients access the secada initial telephone intake and screening service.
